“Although I have agreed to join Arsenal but if that striker is not signed, I may change my mind because I don’t want to waste my assists on Kai Havertz”: Nico Williams has named the only striker he wants Arsenal to sign ahead of his move to Emirates

Arsenal kept their faint Premier League title hopes alive on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win over Fulham.

Mikel Arteta’s squad look almost-certain to finish as runners-up for the third successive season as their wait for a first league title since 2004 appears set to go on.

Arsenal return to action on Saturday afternoon with their trip to Everton (12.30pm) as they look to keep some sort of pressure on league leaders Liverpool.

The Gunners then meet Real Madrid in the Champions League as they aim to cause a quarter-final upset. Arteta’s men know that Europe’s elite trophy is their only realistic chance of silverware this campaign.

Williams latest

Reports in France have suggested that Arsenal’s new sporting director Andrea Berta has already met with Nico Williams’s agent ahead of a potential summer move for the winger.

Foot Mercato flag up that Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Arsenal are all interested in Williams. The forward, who has been heavily linked with a transfer to the Emirates Stadium in the past, now looks set to depart his boyhood club, Athletic Bilbao. football.london understands that Arsenal hold a long-term interest in the Spaniard.

Isaac Seelochan from football.london says:”Nico Williams would be a superb signing for Arsenal. A new striker should be the priority this summer, but having Williams and Bukao Saka on the wings would improve the Gunners’ attack ten-fold.”

Isaac Seelochan from football.london says:”Arsenal’s title challenge, if you can call it that, has been extremely disappointing.
