Manchester United clinched a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday.

Lisandro Martinez was the match-winner with his strike in the 78th minute.

He latched onto a loose ball and fired a shot that deflected past Bernd Leno into the net.

Manager Ruben Amorim praised his side for keeping a clean sheet and was particularly impressed with Toby Collyer.

Collyer pulled off a sensational goal-saving clearance off the line in the 88th minute.

Joachim Andersen’s header from a corner seemed destined for the far post, but Collyer prevented it from crossing the line.

Amorim told MOTD 2 after the game (h/t BBC Sport): “He did it in practice one time. Toby saved our team today.”

Martinez also praised the midfielder for his efforts.

He said (via TNT Sports): “I am so happy because of this guy. This guy is a big example for the young generation.

The 21-year-old was called into action as a substitute for Manuel Ugarte, who had taken a knock while making a tackle.

He impressed by covering every inch of the pitch, showing his relentless work ethic in his 14-minute cameo.

Collyer has displayed in his few appearances that he has the engine to thrive in the current 3-4-3 system.

His display earned an 8/10 rating in our post-match analysis.

He was linked with a potential loan move earlier this month, but it appears Amorim has deemed him ready for the first team.

The Portuguese manager has recently favoured him over Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.

With the duo likely to depart in the summer, Collyer is poised to play a pivotal role in the squad moving forward.
