[4-3-3]: New manager employed, formation changed and Dorgu’s position changed- Manchester United predicted lineups against Everton as INEOS set to appoint new manager

Man Utd were without 12 senior players for their trip to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last weekend.

Ruben Amorim might need to get creative to cope with Manchester United’s ongoing injury crisis after 12 senior players missed the weekend defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

United hope to have Leny Yoro and Christian Eriksen back for their forthcoming fixtures but are set to be without both Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez for the rest of the season at the very least. Luke Shaw and Mason Mount are both long-term injury concerns while Kobbie Mainoo is set to be out for roughly six weeks.

It leaves head coach Amorim with few options to improve the squad and he will have to get creative if he is to cope with the injury situation while finding a way to make United more competitive on the pitch. Patrick Dorgu could be unleashed in a new role, while Casemiro will be dropped from midfield when there are other options available for selection.

Here is a look at the line up Amorim could use to cope with the injury crisis:

1. GK – Andre Onana
Onana is the first-choice in goal regardless of the injuries to Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton.

2. CB – Matthijs de Ligt
De Ligt has proven himself to be a reliable centre-back under Ruben Amorim and deserves to keep his starting role.

3. CB – Harry Maguire
Maguire is the best option for the central defensive role and should remain there amid a lack of competition.

4. CB – Leny Yoro
Yoro is the best option on the left of defence while Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw are both out.

5. RWB – Diogo Dalot
Dalot has struggled for consistency but is still the best option available to United for a wing-back role.

6. CM – Christian Eriksen
Eriksen is better from the bench but will have to start until any of the other midfielders are available.

7. CM – Bruno Fernandes
Fernandes is certain to start and is needed in a central midfield role more than an attacking midfield position.

8. LWB – Noussair Mazraoui
Mazraoui could be used at wing-back if United decide to deploy Patrick Dorgu further up the pitch.

9. CAM – Patrick Dorgu
Dorgu is the most natural replacement for Amad Diallo deployed in one of the attacking midfielder positions.

10. CAM – Alejandro Garnacho
Garnacho is not in good form but has impressed with his work rate and deserves to keep his role in the starting line up.

11. ST – Rasmus Hojlund
There is no right answer in attack but Hojlund still looks better suited to Amorim’s desired style of play.
