Panathinaikos was punished by the UEFA Disciplinary Committee, for the home match of the second League Phase of the Conference League, against Chelsea.
Specifically, the competent committee of the European football confederation punished the “greens” with a partial closure of the OAKA, during their next home European match, with a two-year suspension.
This means that in the next correspondingly serious violation, in the next European games of Panathinaikos until November 2026, a part of the OAKA will be closed, specifically the doors, where the violations will be committed.
The Bulgarian UEFA observer, Hristo Zaprianov, who was responsible for the game of the “cloverleaf” with Chelsea for the previous matchday, recorded the following violations, based on which the “greens” were additionally punished with a total fine of 76,000 euros.
Details of the violations recorded in Panathinaikos – Chelsea
- Use of lasers (Article 16-2, Paragraph d of the Disciplinary Regulations): Fine of 28,000 euros.
- Blocked passages at the doors of the OAKA (Article 38): Fine of 24,000 euros.
- Lighting smoke generators and flares (Article 16-2, paragraph c): Fine of 14,000 euros.
- Indecent behavior (Article 14-2): Fine of 10,000 euros.
- Since the beginning of this season, and specifically from the summer qualifiers in Europa League and Conference League, Panathinaikos has been punished by UEFA in another 5 games, paying a total of 165,250 euros.
