After a dramatic match decided in the last minute, Cyprus and Andorra drew 2-2 in a match for the third and final matchday of the 1st preliminary round of UEFA Futsal EURO 2026.
Absolute balance in the group for Cyprus and Andorra (from two wins and a draw, 7 goals in favor, 5 against), with our national team finishing first since in the entire tournament, they received fewer yellow cards than their opponent.
Our National Team, with the support of hundreds of students who created an unprecedented for the National Futsal atmosphere, took a 2-0 lead with Kouloumbri (12′) and Tsitsos (25′). Andorra managed to equalize by scoring in the 34th minute and 30 seconds before the end.
Now our team is waiting to learn opponents in the Main Round. The draw will take place on May 30 and Cyprus will be in a group of four teams.
