The International Tennis Federation (ITF) disciplinary committee is expected to announce its verdict in the Maria Sharapova case by June.
This means that if the sentence is acquitted the Russian will have the opportunity to take part in both Wimbledon and the Rio Olympics.
As the president of the ITF, David Haggerty, said, “two to three months are required” to make a decision in doping cases.
We remind you that Masha was temporarily disqualified on March 8, due to the positive sample she gave during the Australian Open for the drug meldonium.
