Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The battle for a place in the 2024 Livoli Premier Division grand final in the women’s sector will still be determined in the last match of the final four. Three teams, namely TNI AU Electric, TNI AL, and Bank Jatim will still compete to accompany Petrokimia Gresik Pupuk Indonesia.
TNI AU Electric heated up the competition after beating the TNI AL with a landslide score of 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-23) at GOR Tri Dharma Petrokimia Gresik, Tuesday (19/11). This victory brought Alim Suseno’s team to second place in the standings with 7 points, the result of two wins and three losses.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Navy, which actually needed just one win to qualify for the grand final, was relegated to third place. Mohammad Ansori’s squad has a score of 5, the result of two wins and three defeats.
Meanwhile, the caretaker position is occupied by Bank Jatim with a score of 3 thanks to one win and four losses. In the final match, the Indonesian Air Force will face Petrokimia Gresik, while the Indonesian Navy will meet Bank Jatim.
The Indonesian Navy can qualify for the grand final of the Livoli Main Division if they win over Bank Jatim and the Indonesian Air Force is defeated by Petrokimia Gresik. If they both lose in the last match, the TNI AU will qualify because they have better scores than the TNI AU.
“The children’s game is less developed because they are burdened with having to win. We are under a lot of pressure and often make mistakes,” said TNI AL coach Mohammad Ansori after the match.
Ansori hopes that his team will forget today’s defeat and focus on facing the decisive match against Bank Jatim. “The opportunity to reach the grand final is still there,” he added.
The TNI AL’s performance in the second round of the final four was inversely proportional to the first round when they won two wins. In the second round, Tisya Amallya cs suffered two consecutive defeats, including previously against Petrokimia Gresik.
