2024 Livoli Main Division results: Women’s TNI AL vs Petrokimia Gresik in the Grand Final

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Indonesian Navy women’s team is certain to face Petrokimia Gresik Pupuk Indonesia in the grand final of Livoli Main Division 2024, Friday (23/11). This certainty was obtained after winning over Bank Jatim in the last match of the second round of the final four.

The Indonesian Navy beat Bank Jatim with a score of 3-1 (17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-13) at GOR Tri Dharma Petrokimia Gresik, Wednesday (20/11). These results made the Indonesian Navy finish in second place in the final four standings with three wins from six matches.

The Indonesian Air Force is actually the one with the greatest opportunity to accompany Petrokimia Gresik. Unfortunately, in the last match the team coached by Alim Suseno was defeated by Petrokimia Gresik 2-3 (21-25, 25-21, 25-27, 25-23, 11-15).

These results made the Indonesian Air Force drop to third place in the standings with two wins. In fact, if they win, the TNI AU has more right to qualify for the grand final than the TNI AL even though they both have three wins.

Because, the TNI AU will have better points than the TNI AL, namely 9 with a score of 3-2 or 10 with a score of 3-0 or 3-1. Even if the TNI AL and TNI AU both lose, the TNI AU will still qualify because they have better points.

“We are grateful that we can finally appear in the grand final,” said M. Anshori after the match.

Anshori admitted this because in the initial matches in the final four his team did not get satisfactory results. Moreover, Nurlaili Kusuma’s absence due to injury had quite an impact on the team’s play.
