BID ACCEPTED: Man United’s eye-watering bid for world-class attacker has been accepted as star set to pen six-years contract

Manchester United have has a few good weeks under Ruben Amorim after weeks of struggle, drawing against Liverpool in the Premier League and then beating Arsenal on penalties to advance in the FA Cup.

The Red Devils will be buoyed by the recent upturn in form but Amorim seems to be a man with a cool head on his shoulders and aware enough to know that they are still a work in progress and now need to start finding consistency.

With the January transfer window still open, United could make moves in the transfer market to try and sign players who will be help the manager achieve the sort of consistency that he is striving for.

In the summer, Man Utd were keen on signing Goncalo Inacio from Sporting CP but the Seleccao star ended up staying with the Lions.

Ten Hag then moved in to lure the likes of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt to improve the central defense.

Now, with Amorim in charge at Old Trafford, as per Maisfutebol, Man Utd have submitted a loan offer with an obligation to buy in the summer for £33.6million to Sporting CP to finally secure the signing of Goncalo Inacio.

Amorim knows Inacio all too well from his time in Lisbon. A tall, left-footed center-back, he is very good with the ball at his feet and can be the perfect cover for Lisandro Martinez while also playing alongside him.

With the Portuguese tactician looking to get the Manchester United players to adapt to his system, what better way to do it then signing players who have already played and excelled under his tutelage?

The 23-year-old has already won multiple Primeira Liga titles and has earned 12 caps thus far for the senior national side.

If Man Utd do sign Goncalo Inacio, it would be an excellent addition to the squad. That said, it remains to be seen if Sporting CP accept a loan to buy deal in the middle of the campaign.
