“My friend Ruben is the cause of his own predicament, he must remove those three players from his squad before he starts winning games”: Liverpool coach Arne Slot has advised Ruben Amorim to remove three Man United’s players from his squad before the club can start winning games

Rio Ferdinand didn’t mince his words when discussing three Manchester United players who have been failing to produce the goods.

The legendary defender won a host of trophies after joining the Red Devils from Leeds United for a record fee back in the summer of 2002, including the Champions League trophy in 2008. Therefore, the former England international feels he knows what it takes to build a winning dynasty, and recognises a trio of players that the club would be better off without.

The 46-year-old thus pleads to the management to offload Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Marcus Rashford as soon as possible.

“I think Antony’s going, someone said to me, Real Betis or somewhere like that. Just get them out man!” said Ferdinand on his podcast while referring to the aforementioned trio.

“Sorry, no, I’m just being honest. The more these type of guys are around, where there’s just a bad noise, they all want to go, they’re all happy to go – let’s just get them out. Let’s start afresh.

“You know what it’s like, if there’s people who are unsettled in there and it’s not going to plan and they’re not happy, it spreads. It’s like a cancerous, bad energy.

The retired defender should soon be granted one of his wishes, as Antony is indeed close to sealing a loan move to Real Betis.

As for Malacia, it has been recently revealed that the club has agreed with his entourage to send him out on loan in an attempt to revive his career. The Dutchman spent more than a year on the sidelines and has yet to regain his optimal physical condition.

Finally, Rashford remains the biggest conundrum for the Red Devils, as finding him new accommodation has been a troublesome mission, especially due to his £325,000 per week salary. He has been linked with a host of clubs as of late, including Olympique Marseille, but none of his suitors have managed to make significant progress.
