FEE AGREED: Man United agree £101m transfer fee to sign Alejandro Garnacho’s replacement as the star bid farewell after Rangers game

Manchester United are now eyeing up possible replacements for Alejandro Garnacho.

Ruben Amorim watched Alejandro Garnacho impress on Thursday night against Rangers.

Old Trafford fans let Garnacho know how impressed they were with renditions of the ‘Viva Garnacho’ song ringing out around the 60-minute mark.

Following the game, Garnacho posted a cryptic thank you to the fans, which some have pointed out might be a farewell message.

Manchester United are expecting Chelsea to approach to sign Garnacho, with the Argentine keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.

£60m is the magic number for United, with Chelsea expected to match that asking price – which now sees the Red Devils eyeing a replacement.

Tyler Dibling could replace Alejandro Garnacho

With Garnacho’s exit looking more and more likely, now potential replacements are being considered by the club to avoid weakening Amorim’s squad.

Well according to Manchester World journalist Rich Fay, Chelsea are considering making a £60m bid to sign Garnacho, which has seen one player emerge as a serious replacement option.

In this event, United hold Tyler Dibling in high regard.

The 18-year-old Southampton breakout is considered among the country’s best talents and he is one of United’s top options to replace Garnacho.

The problem for United comes with Southampton’s valuation which stands at £55m – a figure which makes £60m for Garnacho look laughable considering the Argentine is far more established.

This asking price is a massive rise from initial the £21m valuation of Dibling which Russell Martin laughed off last year.

Manchester United kingmaker Jason Wilcox is a massive fan
Dibling is a superstar in the making, and it would be an interesting addition to replace Garnacho, but hardly an upgrade. Both have incredible potential, but right now Garnacho is probably even better.

However, the Southampton talent is this year’s breakout talent. Dion Dublin lauded Dibling as a ‘really special’ footballer, and this opinion is held by United’s technical director Jason Wilcox.

Wilcox was formerly Southampton’s director of football, which means he will be fully aware of Dibling. Wilcox is said to be a big fan of Dibling, which would suggest he will be high on United’s list.

United have scouted Dibling on multiple occasions this season, while the teenager also impressed in both games against United this season.

It remains to be seen whether this deal will come to fruition, for United it would be a risky one.
