FEE AGREED: Manchester United agrees fee to sign another superstar few hours after confirming Ruben Amorim’s transfer first signing

Man Utd are set to secure the signing of Patrick Dorgu in the winter transfer window to reinforce the squad for Ruben Amorim.

After weeks of negotiations and seeing multiple offers rejected, the Red Devils have finally reached an agreement with Lecce and the left back to complete the transfer.

If reports in the Italian media are anything to go by then the Old Trafford outfit have agreed terms worth £40million (47.5million euros) in fee and wages to lure the Danish defender.

As per today’s edition of Corriere del Mezzogiorno (news image provided below), Man Utd have ‘finalized the purchase’ with Lecce for 37.5 million euros (30 million euros fixed and 7.5 million in add-ons).

Dorgu was also liked by Serie A leaders, Napoli, but United have been able to steal the deal.

According to Solo Lecce, the 20-year-old starlet has agreed a contract with the record Premier League champions that will make him earn around 10 million euros over the course of five years.

The four-capped international can feature on both the right and left side of the defense and the attack.

However, naturally, he is a left sided player and we can expect Ruben Amorim to utilize him as a left wing-back in his 3-4-2-1 formation.

With Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia regularly out with injury problems, hopefully, the signing of Dorgu can solve the LWB/LB conundrum at Man Utd once and for all.

Let’s hope United can quickly complete the transfer to get the player ready for the Premier League fixture vs Palace on Sunday.
