“The player who was very poor under Erik ten Hag is now the best player in the League all thanks to Ruben…This guy is simply one of the best manager in Premier League now”: Liverpool coach Arne Slot explans why Ruben Amorim is one of the best manager in Premier League currently

Manchester United pulled off quite the coup last summer when they beat off competition from Real Madrid to secure the services of highly-rated Leny Yoro from Lille.

After an impressive debut in pre-season, the Frenchman suffered a cruel injury blow that kept him out until December. The 19-year-old had to patient before making his eventual competitive debut in December against Arsenal.

Ruben Amorim has started to afford him more and more game-time recently with the France U23 international starting three of the last four games in all competitions.

Arguably his best night came against the same opposition in the FA Cup as he defended with bravery despite the team being down to 10 men.

Difficult early spell
He then proceeded to step forward to calmly dispatch his spot-kick to hand United the advantage right after Kai Havertz had fluffed his lines.

Results as a whole have been far from good with the defence leaking goals with pressure at an all-time high as claimed by defensive partner Matthijs de Ligt.

Yoro had a nightmare when he came up against Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana but instead of taking the young star out of the firing line, Amorim chose to play him for 83 minutes, showing the faith that he has in the French star.

And veteran star Harry Maguire has now come out and praised his young teammate’s impact and even went as far as to claim that Yoro has all the attributes to become a superstar for a club moving forward.

Maguire believes in Yoro
The former club captain also claimed that this difficult initial period will stand the young defender in good stead moving forward. And the Englishman will know all about overcoming a difficult spell to become even better.

“Obviously, Leny’s a young boy with all the attributes to go on to be an elite centre-back. He has everything that you want in a modern-day centre-back at the moment,” the England international told the club website.

“He needs guiding through. Obviously, this is a tough, tough period for the club. But it would be a great learning curve for him and he’ll learn a lot from it. And I have no doubts he’s going to go on and have a great career for this club.”
