MEDICAL COMPLETED: £102million superstar completes Medical to join Manchester United as everything is done ahead of five-years deal

Ruben Amorim remains hopeful Manchester United can get their incoming transfer business over the line before next week’s deadline but warns the club are wary of making more mistakes at the negotiating table.

United are close to signing Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in a deal worth an initial £25million in what would be the first signing of the Amorim era at Old Trafford.

The club have also shown interest in signing Mathys Tel with the teenage forward set to leave Bayern Munich this month. Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa are also keen on the 19-year-old but reports suggest he would favour a move to Manchester.

The 20-year-old is in his second season with Lecce following his €200,000 (£175,000) move from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in 2022.

Tel, who appeared to wave goodbye to Bayern supporters on Wednesday night, has started just four matches in all competitions this season.

United are keen on a loan move for the French starlet with talks so far taking place with the player’s representatives rather than Bayern.
