Liverpool have some difficult fixtures coming up. After locking horns with Aston Villa on Wednesday night, the Reds must begin preparations for their heavyweight bout against Manchester City.

The Premier League champions will host Arne Slot’s side at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon in what is expected to be a fiery clash. Manchester City may be out of the title race, but they can still have a huge say on who lifts the trophy at the end of the season.

Liverpool lead Arsenal by some distance, but they’ve got some tricky games on the horizon. So, with that being said, the Echo has looked at the Merseyside outfit’s upcoming fixtures and how they compare to their rivals.

While this may not be the title showdown it once was in previous seasons, this is a huge clash. Manchester City have struggled this season, yet they’re still in the thick of a race for top-four, meanwhile, Liverpool have been superb throughout.

Newcastle United (H) – Premier League – Wednesday, February 26

The Reds are back in action a few days later, welcoming the Magpies to Anfield. Newcastle United didn’t have a great start to the campaign, but they’ve grown into a formidable outfit who could cause Liverpool a few problems.
