“Thank God we were able to win even though it wasn’t easy. In the first game we missed the start especially since we weren’t used to the windy field conditions and the ball being difficult to control,” said Leo.
“We should have been able to adapt more quickly, but we had to wait until the first game was finished. Something that must not happen again.”
“Mas Bagas today can also make me calm to play up front. So he can cover the back court well,” continued Leo.
“In the second and third games, we changed our patterns, Leo also accelerated his forward play more and played more calmly. In the first game we made a lot of mistakes,” added Bagas.
Leo/Bagas are also grateful that they will not meet another Indonesian men’s doubles team, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin, in the first round of the 2024 Kumamoto Masters. “The initial draw was to meet each other because someone withdrew so it changed.
