MEDICAL ONGOING: Player currently undergoing medical to complete Arsenal transfer as everything is ready ahead of five-years deal

Arsenal are poised to make multiple signings during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have had another frustrating Premier League campaign, and they are set to finish runners-up for the third season running.

The club are yearning for a marquee striker in the squad and O Jogo (page 6) claim that Viktor Gyokeres could be a potential solution.

The Sweden international has decided to pursue a new project in the Premier League this summer.

Gyokeres, through his agent, has held talks with Arsenal and Manchester United over a potential move.

It is ‘very likely’ that the 26-year-old will continue his career at one of those clubs.

There is a £84 million release clause in Gyokeres’ contract, but Sporting CP have agreed to sanction his departure for £59m.

Arsenal could choose between Gyokeres and Sesko

The Sweden international has been in phenomenal form this campaign, with 53 goals and 13 assists from 51 appearances for Sporting CP.

He has helped the club win the Primeira Liga title for the second year running and looks set to pursue a bigger challenge in the near future.

Arsenal have a strong interest in the former Coventry City man, and it has been reported that they have made a contract offer on the table.

However, a transfer does not appear certain with the Gunners reportedly in concrete talks with RB Leipzig regarding Benjamin Sesko today.

Sesko has a release clause worth £67m in his contract. Arsenal could be tempted to land him, having missed out on his services last summer.

The 21-year-old has accumulated only 21 goals and six assists for the campaign but has a huge ceiling and has yet to hit the prime of his career.

In our view, we don’t see the Gunners signing both Gyokeres and Sesko, considering they already have Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in the ranks.

Arsenal may choose between Gyokeres and Sesko. The club seem to be angling towards Sesko based on today’s update in the German media.
