There has been a lot of speculation about the wages that could be offered to Bryan Mbeumo to join Manchester United.
Ineos have not stopped to take a breath after confirming Matheus Cunha as the first summer signing earlier this week.
Just days later, it was confirmed that Bryan Mbeumo wants to join Manchester United and now it is down to Ineos to agree a fee for the 25-year-old.
It seems United have beaten Newcastle to Mbeumo after the Magpies showed a long-term interest in his signature. Despite missing out on European football, the Red Devils continue to attract the Premier League’s brightest talents.
In terms of his price tag, Brentford want around £60m for Mbeumo, matching the fee United paid for Cunha already this summer.

United’s first summer signing Cunha is set to earn £200,000 per week at Old Trafford after a swift negotiation phase with Ineos.
That has set a precedent moving forward, and transfer expert Graeme Bailey has confirmed to United in Focus that United are willing to pay up to £250,000 per week to sign Bryan Mbeumo.
There were reports that Mbeumo wants a five-fold wage increase and it seems Ineos are happy to grant him his wish.
Mbeumo currently earns £50,000 per week at Brentford, but with 20 Premier League goals to his name last week he is ready to take a big step up.

If Ineos can finalise an agreement with Brentford, Mbeumo would arrive at Old Trafford as a starter and his wage packet would reflect that.

Since the takeover, Ineos have been trying to keep United’s wage bill under control with new signings usually offered smaller salaries.
With Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho all headed for the exit this summer, that would clear millions off the wage bill and free up funds for new arrivals such as Mbeumo.

If Mbeumo does agree a contract worth £250,000 per week at Old Trafford, it would certainly put him among the club’s top earners in 2025/26.
In fact, it would put him level with United’s No.7 Mason Mount in the earnings table.
