Medical Ongoing: £140million elite Premier League striker is currently undergoing medical to join Manchester United, Personal terms agreed and shirt number already leaked

TBR Football  Reported the latest around Manchester United’s talks for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.

On Wednesday night, Manchester United made their move for Mbeumo, submitting a bid in the region of £45million plus add-ons.

Now, TBR Football can reveal how much Man United may need to pay for Mbeumo, and what the overall mood is in the Old Trafford camp about pulling a deal off.

Manchester United confident they can sign Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Man United’s opening bid for Bryan Mbeumo is not enough – but there could now only be a gap of £10million.

In addition, we can confirm that Man United are fully confident that they can get a deal over the line and, furthermore, Mbeumo’s camp is happy with the terms offered.

“Man United have come in with their opening offer…it’s not enough,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.

“Brentford won’t take less than £60million – indeed they put him at least on par with Matheus Cunha at £62.5million, so United could very well need to go another £10million.

“However, the two clubs are talking – and I am told there is full confidence of the deal going through. The player’s camp is already in broad agreement over terms.”

Mbeumo is the perfect fit for Man United, not only because of his talent, but because of his proven record in the Premier League and his contributions beyond goals.

The Cameroon international registered an impressive 20 goals and eight assists in the Premier League last season – but he was also truly outstanding off the ball.

Last term, Mbeumo was the only player to notch four figures in terms of off-the-ball runs, registering 1,037 runs.

Mbeumo also covered 387.6km in the league, putting him third behind Daniel Munoz (389.5 km) and Bruno Guimaraes (420.0 km).

In addition, Mbeumo made the top spot for off-the-ball runs made at sprinting speed (389) and took third place for total sprints (870).

“Unbelievable at penalties, assists, work ethic,” Thomas Frank previously said of Mbeumo, as per Chronicle Live. “An unbelievable player.”
