DONE DEAL: Manchester United has finally sealed the deal to sign top-class striker who has all the Reds need

Manchester United are showing keen interest in a summer move for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi, according to Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The Red Devils are said to be among a host of European clubs keeping tabs on the ‘world-class’ Italy international, along with Atletico Madrid and Napoli.

Frattesi is reportedly considering a departure from Inter following Simone Inzaghi’s exit to Al-Hilal, having been disappointed with his lack of playing time last season.

According to Tavolieri, Frattesi is prioritising staying in Serie A this summer and currently has no plans to test himself abroad, despite interest from Man United and Atletico.

Napoli are said to be leading the race for his signature, and while they must offload players before pursuing a move, Antonio Conte has reportedly identified Frattesi as his top midfield target.

Inter are expected to demand a fee of around €35m (£30m) for Frattesi and are unlikely to accept lower bids from Serie A rivals.

Frattesi only joined Inter permanently from Sassuolo last summer and is under contract until June 2028.

Man United are currently prioritising attacking signings as they aim to bolster Ruben Amorim’s frontline further after confirming Matheus Cunha’s arrival.

The Red Devils remain favourites to sign Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo next, and are also believed to hold an interest in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
