BID ACCEPTED: Manchester United’s take-it-or-leave-it bid for their long-term transfer target has been accepted, players agrees personal terms and medical scheduled for tomorrow

Manchester United are likely to make multiple additions to their attack for next season.

The Red Devils have been active during the early part of the summer transfer window.

They have already recruited Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo is the next target, and talks are ongoing with the Bees.

Amidst this, Sport Bild surprisingly claim that United are one of the Premier League clubs keen on landing RB Leipzig forward Xavi Simons this summer.

Leipzig signed Simons permanently from Paris Saint-Germain earlier this year, and it could take at least £60 million for a transfer to materialise.

Simons speculation could be agent-driven
United have bolstered their attacking midfield department with the purchase of Cunha, who registered 17 goals and six assists in all competitions for Wolves last term.

They are now determined to secure the services of Mbeumo, who scored 20 goals and provided eight assists in the Premier League last season. He would be another top-class signing.

Tottenham Hotspur have recently entered Mbeumo’s pursuit after appointing Bees manager Thomas Frank as their new head coach, but United are not overly concerned.

Mbeumo has made it clear that he would prefer to join the Red Devils. United may need to negotiate with Brentford to find a suitable agreement on the transfer package.

Simons has re-emerged as a target, as per Sport Bild, but we believe the speculation could be agent-driven rather than United being interested in signing him.

The Dutchman had an injury-plagued campaign with Leipzig, but he still managed an impressive 19 goal contributions from 33 appearances across all competitions.

The 22-year-old can play on either wing or in the number 10 role, but United should still prefer to sign Mbeumo over him for the transfer figure mentioned (£60m).

Unless Mbeumo can’t be signed, we don’t see United contemplating a move for Simons.
