Double Deals Completed: Manchester United has just completed two major signings today as striker signed five-years transfer deal with the Reds- He’s given No.10 jersey

Manchester United recently submitted a new offer to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, and Fabrizio Romano, writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, has confirmed that negotiations are still ongoing, with the deal ‘absolutely on’.

The Red Devils clearly identified Mbeumo as a key target after they secured the signature of Matheus Cunha earlier in the summer transfer window from Wolves. Ruben Amorim and his recruitment team are looking to transform their attack after a disappointing season, targeting multiple players to play behind the striker.

United are also in the market for a new centre-forward with links to the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen, so we could see a completely new-look attack during the 2025/2026 campaign. The lack of Champions League football clearly isn’t deterring players so far, and it looks set to be a busy window for Amorim’s side.

Fabrizio Romano: Negotiations Ongoing for Mbeumo

The deal is ‘absolutely on’ for Man Utd

Writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, Romano has confirmed that negotiations are still ongoing between Brentford and United after the former recently submitted another bid to sign Mbeumo. The respected reporter claims that the deal is ‘absolutely on’ as United try and negotiate a fee for the Cameroonian forward…

“The negotiations are still ongoing, it’s underway. So the deal is absolutely on.”

United recently submitted an offer of over £60m to sign Mbeumo, but it’s unclear if Brentford are willing to accept the most recent bid. If United can get a deal over the line for Mbeumo, we could see the Brentford forward and Cunha playing behind a new striker in Amorim’s system.

Amorim plays two attacking midfielders, who often have the ability to drift into wide areas. Cunha and Mbeumo could be ideal for these positions, and it’s an exciting proposition for United supporters.
