BID ACCEPTED: Arsenal’s latest bid for their top attacking player has been accepted as the Gunners expected to complete the signing of the superstar next week

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is willing to go “all in” for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze this summer, according to FootballTransfers.
It was yet another “nearly” season for Arsenal. The club did well in reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League, losing out to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain, whilst finishing second in the Premier League for a third consecutive season. Manager Mikel Arteta, though, will be all too aware that it was another campaign without any major silverware.
The Gunners have already made additions to their squad in preparation for the new season. Experience has been added with the signings of Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga, with the club having also recruited winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea. Arsenal are also close to securing the services of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting.
It would seem, though, that the North London side want to offer their attack even further quality with their latest target.
Eze to Arsenal?
Personal terms ‘already agreed’
According to FootballTransfers, Arsenal are “confident of reaching a full agreement” with Crystal Palace to sign attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze. Having been at Selhurst Park since 2020, Eze has developed into one of the Premier League’s most consistent number 10s, playing a crucial role in Palace’s FA Cup success last season.
At 27 years old, Eze is entering his prime years as a player. FootballTransfers have reported that Arsenal are happy to pay Eze’s £68 million release clause in two installments, with the playmaker keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, which would offer him the chance to play Champions League football.
Where Eze, dubbed a “superstar,” ends up for the coming season remains to be seen, but Arsenal would be signing an incredible talent should they prove successful in prying him away from the South London club.
