HERE WE GO: Arsenal agree deal to sign another attacking guru after announcing Viktor Gyokeres’ transfer- The player will fly to London today and will be announced tomorrow

The North London club have completed the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP today, officially announcing the Sweden international striker this evening.
The 27-year-old joins Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard as the summer signings of Arsenal so far, and Eze could be next.
Manager Mikel Arteta will now fancy his chances of leading the Gunners to the Premier League title after three near misses, and all eyes will be on him and his new signings when 2025-26 starts.
He has bolstered his options in goal, defence, midfield and attack with the recent additions, and one or two more signings are still expected to provide more quality depth as Arsenal look to impress across all competitions next season.
The owners have continually backed the Spaniard since his arrival in December 2019, and he now needs to start delivering the goods having gone without a major silverware since winning the FA Cup in 2019-20.
Arsenal will be competing against the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and others for the title next season, and they will need to hit the ground running when the new season kicks off.
They begin the campaign with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United before playing against Leeds United, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Man City and Newcastle United in the remainder of their opening tough run of fixtures.
Arsenal still have Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze high in their thinking and some initial talks have now taken place with the Eagles, according to journalist and transfer insider Ben Jacobs.
The Gunners have been told they will need to trigger the £68 million release clause of the England international if they want to sign him.
However, Arsenal are now considering whether to make a bid and try at a lower number to test that position, with Eze still very much keen on a move.
