BID ACCEPTED: Arsenal’s new bid for top Premier League winger has been accepted as the star is set to sign six-years contract

Nelson’s past Fulham spell boosts chances
Nelson joined Fulham on loan from Arsenal last season, making his debut shortly after arriving on the final day of the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old quickly established himself in Marco Silva’s squad, playing in 13 consecutive matches before picking up a hamstring injury.

That setback ruled him out for the remainder of the season, cutting short what had been an encouraging run of games.

Despite the injury, Fulham remain keen on his return and see him as a player who could improve their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Nelson’s last outing for Arsenal came as a substitute against Aston Villa last August before his brief Fulham spell.

The English winger remains under contract with Arsenal until the summer of 2027.

His current deal also includes the option of a further one-year extension, signed in July 2023.

Arsenal’s transfer plans influencing exit
The Gunners are reshaping their forward line this window, which has opened the door for Nelson to move on.

They have already brought in Noni Madueke from Chelsea and Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.

With competition for places increasing, Nelson is now looking for more consistent playing time elsewhere.

Fulham are hopeful a deal can be completed in the coming days, though several details still need to be agreed upon before it becomes official.

Fulham are pushing to bring Reiss Nelson back to Craven Cottage, with negotiations at an advanced stage, according to The Athletic.

The winger, currently on the books at Arsenal, is the subject of ongoing discussions between the two London clubs over a possible move.

Talks have revolved around two potential arrangements: a loan deal with an option to buy, or a direct permanent transfer.

Arsenal, however, would prefer that any temporary deal includes an obligation to make the move permanent next year.

Sources close to the deal suggest both sides are edging closer to finding common ground.

However, an agreement has not yet been finalised, and further talks are needed to complete the transfer.
