BREAKING NEWS: Another KEY player has sustained another injury feom international break as he’s set to return to London for test- Could be out for atleast four months

Arsenal are still sweating on the fitness of Martin Odegaard after his clash of knees in the recent win over West Ham.

The club captain has struggled for fitness so far this campaign, with two shoulder injuries keeping him out for a while.

The latest injury for Odegaard appears to be even more concerning, as an issue with his MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) saw him withdraw from the Norway squad.

That hasn’t stopped the Arsenal star from showing his support, however, but it has hinted at a deeper injury concern for Mikel Arteta to worry about.

Martin Odegaard not involved in Norway’s celebrations, sparking Arsenal injury worry
Martin Odegaard could be set for a spell out on the sidelines, though the exact details of the injury remain unknown.

He could miss anywhere from a week or two to months, depending on the severity of the injury.

While Arsenal await the outcome of that, there has been a slightly concerning hint towards his fitness that should worry the Gunners.

Odegaard was present for Norway’s thrashing of Israel in World Cup qualifying, watching on from the stands as his nation took one step closer towards next summer’s competition.

The scenes in the dressing room after were jubilant, as the squad and coaches piled in to celebrate another top result.

However, not involved in the melee of stars was Odegaard, who sat on the side and celebrated in his own way.

While this may have been the safe thing for him to do, it’s a concern that he wasn’t standing or getting involved in the celebrations.

That may well hint at a more severe injury, though it remains to be seen exactly how bad it could be.

Martin Odegaard will want a return for the November internationals

In an ideal world, Odegaard would return from injury as soon as possible to offer his quality for both Arsenal and Norway.

For now, though, he looks set for some time out, with no clear timeline on exactly when he could return.

Looking at it for Arsenal, some key games are coming up where the side will need his quality to break down opposition defences.

There are seven fixtures across the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup that Odegaard is required for, though there are options to replace him.

In terms of personally targeting a return, though, the midfielder will be keen to get back in time for the November international break.

Norway are on the brink of qualifying for their first World Cup in 28 years, and it would be quite an achievement to captain his nation towards that.

Matches against Estonia and Italy await, with his injury being the only potential barrier to making history.
