Sao Paulo : A Brazilian football player was shown a red card within three seconds of the start of the match for elbowing an opponent during a top division match.
Cruzeiro’s Rafa Silva elbowed Athletico Perenense’s Kike Rocha at the start of the match, forcing the team to play the rest of the match with 10 players.
Referee Rodrigo Jose Pereira de Lima showed Cruzeiro’s 32-year-old Silva a red card, one of the fastest in the history of football. Cruzeiro had to face defeat 0-3 in this match.
