BID ACCEPTED: Arsenal’s £101million bid for Europe’s most valued attacking midfielder has been accepted after Chelsea’s bid rejected- Medical to be completed soon

Arsenal ‘will’ reportedly submit a formal proposal to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze after selling Fabio Vieira, as per Football Transfers.

The Gunners have already reinforced the right flank by purchasing Noni Madueke from Chelsea, while they have signed Viktor Gyokeres for the centre-forward position.

However, Mikel Arteta also wants a new left winger as Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard’s performances were inconsistent last term. The Belgian has even been linked with a move away this summer.

Rodrygo Goes and Anthony Gordon have been suggested as potential options for the North London club to reinforce the left side of the attack, but the Eze story seemingly has more legs.

Now, Football Transfers report that Arsenal ‘will’ submit a formal proposal to sign Eze, but before that, they are prioritising selling Vieira. Stuttgart are interested in signing him as a potential replacement for Enzo Millot, who has moved to Saudi Arabia.

The German side are willing to spend around £17m, but the North London club want more. All parties are keen on finalising the deal as soon as possible.

Eze to Arsenal

Arsenal are looking to submit an opening bid worth around £52m for Eze, although he has a £68m release clause with his existing deal set to run until 2027.

Eze is keen on moving to the Emirates Stadium, and if Arsenal can find common ground with the Eagles over this deal this week, the player won’t get involved in the Community Shield fixture against Liverpool next weekend.

Eze is a versatile forward, and Arteta likes having players who can be deployed in multiple positions. The Spanish boss wants to bolster the LW and CAM areas, and the Englishman can provide cover in both positions.

He is a Premier League-proven player and is an experienced forward. He helped Crystal Palace win the FA Cup last campaign.

Eze would be a massive upgrade to what Arsenal already have on the left flank. Therefore, the 27-year-old would be a great coup for the Gunners should they purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually manage to secure his service before the end of this transfer window.
