BID ACCEPTED: Manchester United’s £103m bid for Europe’s most wanted winger has been accepted as the plan for his medical is already in place ahead of the move

Manchester United are interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion left-back Pervis Estupinan, as per reports.
United have stepped up their efforts to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s attack, having already agreed a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Red Devils have also convinced Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo to join their project.
Having said that, Amorim’s attack isn’t entirely reliant on forwards, as it is the wing-backs who generate width and often find themselves in dangerous positions in the final third.
The Portuguese tactician prioritised signing a new wing-back upon his arrival, and United handed him Patrick Dorgu in January. Now, they are looking to sign another player to make a difference out wide.
According to Fichajes, United are interested in signing Estupinan from the Seagulls.
The 27-year-old is one of the most complete left-backs in the Premier League, impressing with his attacking intent as well as solid defending.
A number of clubs have shown interest in the Brighton defender but United’s interest “appears to be the strongest” so far, suggests the Spanish outlet.
Should United get the deal over the line for him, Estupinan will become the second Ecuadorian to play for United’s senior side after Antonio Valencia.
Caught Offside report Brighton are hoping to raise as much as €45 million (£37.9m) from the Ecuadorian defender’s sale as they expect a bidding war.
It is believed United have already made an enquiry over signing the attacking full-back.
Estupinan moved to the south coast from Villarreal in the summer of 2022 and is tied to the club until 2027.
Considering Luke Shaw’s fitness record, Estupinan should find it easy to overtake the England left-back in the pecking order if he decides to move to Old Trafford. Meanwhile, the versatile Dorgu should find himself on the opposite flank.
