FOR SALE: Ruben Amorim not IMPRESSED with seven Man United’s first-team players this season, put them all for sale

The latest update on Manchester United’s pursuit of a statement attacking signing this summer.

A lot has gone wrong for Manchester United this season, which will undoubtedly be heavily reflected on during the summer transfer window.

A glaring issue for Ruben Amorim is the lack of flair in his attack. United have one of the lowest goal returns in the Premier League this campaign, with just 38 from 32 games played.

The likes of Rasmus Hojlund has come under fire for his low return rate, with fans and pundits alike criticising his performances and suggesting he has had enough time to prove himself at Old Trafford.

Jim Ratcliffe has also made comments suggesting some players on the roster are ‘overpaid’, opening the door to what will likely be a raft of changes to the first team squad once the season closes.

One of the main priorities for United is signing a new goalscorer to lead their attack.

Man United still keen on Victor Osimhen

According to TEAMtalk, United remain interested in Nigerian powerhouse Victor Osimhen, who finally looks set to move on from Napoli.

The 26-year-old has been admired by English sides for years but has never looked like leaving the Italian giants. However, multiple reports have claimed that after his loan spell in Turkey ends this summer, he will be looking for a new chapter in his career.

Osimhen has been shortlisted by other Premier League clubs alongside United, mainly Arsenal. The centre-forward has a reported €75 million (£64m) release clause in place, which has been deemed an impossible amount for loan club Galatasaray to find.

United are reportedly planning ‘drastic action’ to attempt to lure Osimhen to Manchester and beat the rest of the competition this summer.

Man United willing to sell £100m+ duo

In order to raise funds for marquee signings like Osimhen, United will need to sell some players first. A long list of the current first team are currently at risk of being sold and according to the TEAMtalk report, the Red Devils are willing to cash in on both Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

Both centre-forwards have struggled to have the desired effect on United’s front line since their respective arrivals. Hojlund has been hammered by pundits and the media, while Zirkzee only joined last summer and is already being linked with an exit.

The duo have just six Premier League goals between them this season and cost more than £100 million to sign combined. United splashed £72 million to sign Hojlund from Atalanta in 2023, while new recruit Zirkzee cost £36.5 million from Bologna.

Osimhen has 29 goals in 34 appearances this season with Galatasaray and is known for his huge presence in front of goal. While many overseas players struggle to adapt to the Premier League, if Osimhen can recreate his stunning numbers, he could transform United’s flat attack and give Amorim’s attack the huge boost it has been crying out for.
