HERE WE GO! Player arrived in Manchester ahead Man United’s transfer as Ruben Amorim’s first transfer signing is completed and ready to be announced

This weekend, Manchester United should wrap up the signing of Patrick Dorgu.
It has been almost two weeks since Manchester United opened talks with Lecce to sign the 20-year-old Denmark international.
Ineos spent time in Italy to secure the deal and eventually an agreement was reached earlier this week.
United agreed to pay Lecce £24.7m initially to sign Patrick Dorgu this month, in a move which will delight Ruben Amorim, solving the biggest problem position United have had lately.
The transfer has been done for days if reports are to be believed, but it finally seems we are at the finish line.
Lecce manager breaks silence on Patrick Dorgu
There was a sense of shock on Friday when it was reported Dorgu would be in Lecce’s squad to face Parma.
Dorgu was previously expected to undergo his medical earlier in the week but he was present on the bench for Lecce in this game on Friday night.
However, following Lecce’s 3-1 win, the club manager Marco Giampaolo spoke out on the deal – confirming that Dorgu would travel to Manchester on Saturday.
“It’s true,” Giampaolo confirmed. “Patrick Dorgu will be flying to Manchester on Saturday”.
“He’s a fantastic player and guy. He always did his best for us. I didn’t play him tonight as his mind could be already there, Old Trafford.”
Dorgu says farewell ahead of Manchester United move
It was concerning when it emerged that Dorgu was due to be in Lecce’s squad, with fans worried he would play and risk an injury scuppering the move.
Dorgu remained on the bench throughout, and after the game, he got the chance to bid farewell to the Lecce supporters ahead of travelling to England.
One fan – Gabriele Di Donfrancesco on X – videoed this moment from the stands, in a heart-warming moment as Dorgu was clearly adored by his supporters – something which will be reciprocated at United.
Dorgu has all the traits to succeed in the Premier League and he seems destined to become an instant fan favourite considering he could revolutionise the left side of Amorim’s set-up.
Now, we eagerly wait for United to announce Dorgu, perhaps it will happen on Sunday at Old Trafford.
