DEAL AGREED: Manchester United finally completes fourth summer transfer signing as 21-year-old ultra-talented attacker joined on four-years transfer deal

Manchester United only scored 44 goals in the Premier League last season as strikers like Zirkzee and Hojlund flopped big time.
Without doubt, Amorim needs a proven quality finisher and the name of Viktor Gyokeres is consistently linked with Man Utd.
As per today’s version of A Bola (news image provided below), Man Utd, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Al Ahli are interested in signing the Swedish international from Sporting CP.
The goal scorer’s current contract with the Lions includes a release clause of 100 million euros and initially, club president, Federico Verandas, was adamant that the player will only be sold if the fee is met.
However, now, all the suitors have been made aware that a fee of £68million (80 million euros) will be accepted for the transfer of Gyokeres, and ‘not a penny less’.
The center forward’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, is in a tug of war with the Sporting management and believed that the Portuguese champions were initially willing to accept a fee of 60 million euros fixed plus 10 million euros in variables and have now surprisingly changed their stance.
Should Man Utd sign Gyokeres:
Keeping in view the level of competition for his signature, it is not surprising at all to see Sporting demand £68million, especially when Gyokeres has scored for fun in the last couple of seasons.
Last term, Hojlund and Zirkzee scored a combined six goals in the entire Premier League campaign for the Red Devils.
In contract Gyokeres found the net 39 times, just four goals fewer than United’s PL tally, in the Liga Nos winning season.
In all competitions, the 27-year-old netted 54 goals in 52 appearances and even provided 13 assists.
A player of Gyokeres’ caliber deserves to play in the Champions League, and United cannot offer him any European football next term.
