Deal Completed: Manchester United has finally completed their first summer transfer signing as 29-goals striker joined the Reds on six-years deal

Brighton defender Pervis Estupinan wants to join Manchester United this summer and has told his agents to negotiate an exit, according to journalist Sebastien Vidal.

The Red Devils are in the market to bolster their squad after a horror season in 2024/25 as they finished 15th in the Premier League, while they were beaten in the Europa League final to leave them without any European football for the 2025/26 campaign.

The attack has so far been the priority for Ruben Amorim following the arrival of Matheus Cunha and a public pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo, but a new option for the wing-back position has now emerged too.

Estupinan Wants Man Utd Move

Tells agents to negotiate exit

Man Utd were looking to strengthen their wing-back options in January and brought in Patrick Dorgu from Lecce, but there are still suggestions they could be looking to add more to the squad.

Ecuador international Estupinan is a player they have kept an eye on, and it has now emerged that the 27-year-old is very keen on making a move to Old Trafford this summer should the opportunity present itself.

So much so that Estupinan, who has been described as ‘phenomenal’, has told his agents to start negotiating his exit away from Brighton and to secure him a move to join Amorim’s squad this summer according to Vidal.

However, it’s also reported that while Man Utd do like him as a player, he is not seen as a priority target this summer which makes a transfer look relatively unlikely.

United have already sealed a deal for young Paraguayan left wing-back Diego Leon to join the club this summer, although he is likely to start off in the academy, while Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot and Harry Amass can also play at wing-back to provide competition for Dorgu.
