Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has agreed a three-year deal with Turkish giants Fenerbahce, according to The Times.
The Gunners are looking to refresh the attacking department of their squad as Mikel Arteta looks to finally break their 21-year Premier League title drought, following three successive runners-up finishes.
The club have already agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign winger Noni Madueke in a £52m deal to add someone to the side, while talks are ongoing for Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze, which means players could now depart.
Trossard, who has been described as ‘unbelievable’ by Ian Wright, currently has two years remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and has emerged as a contender for an exit as the club look to make space in the squad.
The Belgium international is a target for clubs in Saudi Arabia too, but a report by Gary Jacobs states that he has agreed a three-year deal with Turkish side Fenerbahce to join up with Jose Mourinho.
Arsenal are open to selling the 30-year-old for around £20m, but there are yet to be any talks or bids between the clubs over a deal.
It had been reported previously that the club and player were in talks over a potential new contract in north London, with those conversations described as ‘positive’
. However, Trossard has recently changed agents which has seen talks stall, and now it seems as though he could be on the move.
Trossard has racked up 124 appearances for the Gunners in his two-and-a-half seasons, scoring 28 goals. But the £90,000-a-week star now looks unlikely to get a pay-rise under Andrea Berta’s tenureship, and an exit should be anticipated.
The club have already completed deals to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, while Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey and Jorginho have all moved on.
