DONE DEAL: £96million striker to Manchester United is already a done deal as the superstar finally signed six-years contract with the The Reds

Manchester United could revisit a move for Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling in the summer transfer window, according to reports – with the Red Devils lining up a move for the winger if they can’t land Brentford hero Bryan Mbeumo in the coming months due to growing concerns over the latter.

United have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £62.5million as Ruben Amorim aims to turn their dreadful form around ahead of his first full season in the dugout, but more options are needed – and that could see them lump for the star who ‘half of Europe wants’, who impressed on his breakthrough campaign in professional football.

The Red Devils are weighing up various options to play on their right-hand side.

The report by Tribuna states that United have identified Dibling as a potential alternative for Mbeumo, if they miss out in the race to sign the Cameroonian star amid interest from Newcastle United, who could offer the wideman Champions League football after their top-five finish.

Mbeumo has proven himself in the Premier League over the past four years, but none more so than the recent campaign in which he notched an outrageous 20 goals in the top-flight – almost more than his entire tally of the three other seasons where he grabbed a respectable 22 strikes.

Dibling, however, is much younger and the ‘exceptional’ starlet caught the eye of United after a strong season on the south coast, despite Saints’ dismal top-flight form in which they picked up a measly 12 points throughout the campaign.

United have been tracking Mbeumo, but his price tag – reported to be around £50million – and injury record have instead made England youngster Dibling an appealing option if they decide not to push ahead with a move for the Bees goalscorer.

The youngster has also attracted interest from other clubs, such as Bayern Munich and Liverpool, but United’s growing interest in the former Chelsea youngster could accelerate a move to beat the queue for his signature.

Dibling would reportedly cost between £40million and £50million as a result of Southampton’s relegation from the top-flight, and with the Saints in need of a financial boost as a result of lost TV revenue from the Premier League, the 19-year-old could find his way to Old Trafford.
