DONE DEAL: Europe’s most wanted striker agree six-years deal to join Manchester United

Manchester United might have potentially two more games left this season to save their next one but they’re already making ambitious moves in the transfer market.

The difference in speed between Ineos and the previous regime is night and day, be it in the chase for Matheus Cunha’s transfer or the shaping up of sales.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has already committed to repeating Ruben Amorim’s Sporting trick at Man Utd in terms of sales, while Fabrizio Romano said previously that they’re preparing for a blockbuster summer window in terms of arrivals.

The first domino of the arrivals seems to have fallen and he’s a ‘really, really good talent’ according to Man Utd, who have flexed their transfer muscle in winning a brutal transfer race for his signature.

Fabrizio Romano’s “Here we go” on Man Utd transfer

Man Utd have ambitious plans for the transfer window and that isn’t restricted to the top end of the squad because the window is being approached from a holistic POV.

That means Man Utd fans can expect more signings in the vein of Chido Obi, Samuel Lusale, Sekou Kone, and more – players who are highly rated but not a part of the senior team imminently.

Adding his name to the list is Enzo Kana-Biyik, the 18-year-old striker from Le Havre whose transfer has been given the “Here we go” by Fabrizio Romano.

United’s Kana-Biyik signing was reported to be ‘imminent’ earlier amid reports of the club beating competition for his signature.

Romano has now given details of the transfer and how United view the player and his prospects.

He said: “Many clubs were interested in the player, from England to France and Germany but Man Utd have reached an agreement. The player is ready to sign the contract.

“Man Utd believe this is a really, really good talent. They want to invest in top talents. Enzo Kana-Biyik is one of them. For sure, Enzo Kana-Biyik is here we go. One more young talent to add to the Man Utd project.”

Enzo Kana-Biyik’s Man Utd prospects

It was reported previously that United’s plan for Kana-Biyik involves him moving to FC Lausanne-Sport on loan, Ineos’ club in Switzerland.

A loan move like that to play senior football will stand him in good stead because, as it stands, he hasn’t even broken into Le Havre’s first team consistently.

He’s better off playing senior football in a fairly competitive league instead of playing academy football at Man Utd because he’s a step behind in terms of development as compared to the likes of Chido Obi.

An encouraging loan move could see him leapfrog academy football entirely and challenge for a Premier League loan/Man Utd backup position the season after the next one.

Regardless of whether it works out or not, this is exactly the kind of long-term thinking that Man Utd sorely need to get back to their glory days.
