Done Deal: Manchester United has just completed another big-name transfer signing as aggressive striker signed five-years deal with the Reds
Manchester United are reportedly close to signing Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, according to journalist Daniele Longo.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as they look to rebuild during Ruben Amorim’s first summer transfer window in charge. Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon have both arrived through the door so far, but the latter is unlikely to make a significant impact on the senior squad just yet, considering his age.
United will, of course, want to bring in some of the best young talent from around the world as they look to build for the future, but they undoubtedly need signings that are going to hit the ground running and improve them immediately. The Manchester club finished in the bottom half of the Premier League last season, ending the campaign without a trophy.

He has a £87m release clause in his contract
Seemingly out of nowhere, journalist Longo has now reported that Manchester United are close to signing Valencia midfielder Guerra. The La Liga star reportedly has a £87m release clause, but it’s unclear how much United will be paying for the midfielder.
Despite being just 22 years old, Guerra already has bundles of experience playing at a high level. The Spanish star has made 82 La Liga appearances, playing in 36 league games for Valencia last season. Guerra is a central midfielder, and he played a crucial role under Carlos Corberan last season as Valencia went from relegation contenders to mid-table security.
Christian Eriksen left the club earlier in the summer after his contract expired, so United are already a body short in the middle of the park. Casemiro is also reaching the latter stages of his career, and as a result, the Red Devils are clearly looking to bring in a younger profile in midfield.
If United can secure Guerra for a fee that is significantly lower than his release clause, then it could be a smart addition to Amorim’s side, considering the impact he’s already making at his age, with the potential to grow in the future.
