Arsenal have reportedly been given the chance to sign Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, according to a report from Metro.

Chelsea are looking to trim their squad this summer. The Blues are in talks to sign Jamie Bynoe-Gittens from Borussia Dortmund and Joao Pedro from Brighton.

To create space in the squad and balance their books, Chelsea are ready to offload players. Nkunku is one of the names available for transfer.

Arsenal have made attacking reinforcements a priority. The Gunners are searching for players who can bring goals and creativity in the final third.

Reports claim that Arsenal made contact regarding Nkunku earlier this year. With fresh movement now expected, they could return for the French international.

Nkunku has struggled to hold down a regular spot since joining Chelsea. Injuries and competition for places have limited his time on the pitch.

Despite that, he has still shown flashes of his quality. He has scored 15 goals and provided five assists across all competitions this season.

Nkunku is currently part of the Chelsea squad at the FIFA Club World Cup. He scored once during the tournament, offering a reminder of his talent.

Chelsea are reportedly open to selling him this summer. They hope to raise around £35million from his transfer, even if it means taking a loss.
