After hiring 18-year-old Diego Leon recently, now Man Utd have completed the signing of 16-year-old center back, Harley Emsden-James, from Southampton.

Now, multiple sources have confirmed that the signing has been completed. Renowned Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed the deal with his signature ‘Here We Go’ statement.

On the other hand, Football Insider have revealed that Man Utd have beaten Man City and other Premier League rivals to snap up Harley Emsden-James.

The youngster made two appearances in the U-18 Premier League in the last campaign and he must be a highly talented boy considering several top flight sides have been after him.

PL clubs have been careful in the confirmation of talented teenagers from other academies.

Last year, United signed striker, Chido Obi-Martin from the academy of Arsenal but made no official confirmation of his arrival and the same has been the case, for now, with Emsden-James.

As reported earlier by The Athletic, Southampton have included a 20% sell on clause in the deal.
