The day of the top sports awards ceremony in Cyprus is approaching, which is implemented every year by the Sports Writers Association of Cyprus (EAK), to honor people who have distinguished themselves through their performance or their action in the whole spectrum of Cypriot sports. The 51st Celebration of the Aristocrats will take place on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Municipal Theater of Nicosia, starting at 21:00 (duration 85 minutes) and televised by RIK.
The event is for another year under the auspices of the Cyprus Sports Organization (CSO).
After the voting of the EAK members, which was completed last week, the University of Nicosia proceeded to count and certify the results. Today, EAK announces the finalists in the top four categories, in alphabetical order.

On the theme of “Paris 2024”
The theme of the 51st Celebration of the Elites is the upcoming Olympic Games “Paris 2024”, during which we hope that Cyprus will be represented by as many athletes as possible and that they will achieve the goals they set.
In addition to the top players, the EAK will soon inform about the person chosen to be honored with Cyprus’ top sports award, the EAK Award of Excellence, which is traditionally awarded by the President of the Republic.
In addition, the rest of the honorees who will be given during the 51st Celebration of the Elites the OPAP “Stelios Kyriakides” Prizes, OPAP “Iasonas Nikolaou” Ethical and Contribution Awards, OPAP Long-Term and Outstanding Contribution Awards, Bank of Cyprus Emerging Talents, Unicars Motor Sports, Hercules Para-Sports “Carolina Pelendritou”, Unicars Special Olympics and the Cytavision Football Awards. At the Celebration, the KOA-KOE Fair Play Ambassador for 2024 will also be announced. In addition, honorary awards will be given to individuals and organizations selected by the EAK board of directors, as a recognition of their work in sports.
