FEE AGREED: Manchester United’s agree transfer fee to sign £120m star as superstar set to travel for medical

Manchester United are on the verge of securing Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha in a significant summer transfer move.

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between United and Cunha are at an advanced stage, with positive sentiments on both sides.

After early reports of United advancing on the deal to sign Cunha this summer, the recent silence over the move has perhaps worried the United fans.

Matheus Cunha deal is still on
However, Romano has provided a positive update for the Man United fans, telling that that the deal is still on and in the next few days, progress will be made over it.

Speaking on his Youtube channel, Romano said:

“Ruben Amorim appreciates Cunha and the player knows this very well.”

“I want to say to Man United fans…relax a bit on this one. Yes there was a feeling two or three weeks ago that this deal could happen in a few days, but it always takes time to prepare a contract, to agree on the salary, to speak to the agent, and then to agree with Wolves on the payment terms.

“We expect Man United to advance on this one in the coming days. Cunha is keen on the move and it’s just about completing the contract agreement.”

25-year-old Cunha has been an impressive performer for Wolves, netting 15 goals and providing six assists in the Premier League this season.

His versatility in attacking roles aligns well with United manager Ruben Amorim’s tactical vision, particularly in a 3-4-2-1 formation where Cunha could operate as a left-sided number ten, complementing Bruno Fernandes in central midfield and Amad Diallo on the right .

The Brazilian’s contract includes a £62.5 million release clause, which United are prepared to meet. Reports suggest the total package, including add-ons, could reach €80 million.

Despite interest from clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United, Cunha is reportedly favouring a move to Old Trafford, viewing it as a significant step in his career.
