FINALLY AGREED: Arsenal’s latest bid for Europe’s most valued attacker has been accepted, the player finally agreed five-years contract and will complete his medical today- Announcement SOON

Arsenal are poised to sign a marquee striker ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The Gunners have made four signings during the summer transfer window, and they are set to extend their spending spree over the coming weeks.

Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera is expected to sign very soon, while the club are also pushing to land the signature of Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Earlier today, Portuguese outlet A Bola claimed that Manchester United are ready to hijack Arsenal’s pursuit of Gyokeres and are prepared to pay £69 million.

However, the same source now reveal that the Swede remains steadfast in his intention to join the Gunners and has turned down a move to the Red Devils.

He is only thinking about the London giants. He and his agent believe the ongoing story on United is a pressure tactic from Sporting to speed up negotiations.

Arsenal still in pole position to land Gyokeres
The Sweden international has emerged as the priority striker target for the Gunners this month, and he has already finalised personal terms on a five-year contract.

The 27-year-old is determined to join the club ahead of next season. Arsenal have agreed to pay a fixed fee of around £55 million with a further £8.6m in add-ons.

However, Sporting have yet to sanction his transfer. They reportedly want the entire portion of his £8.6m add-ons to be easily achievable, but Arsenal want some part to be difficult to trigger.

This has led to the impasse over the past week without any resolution. Amidst this, Sporting have probably talked up fresh interest from United through the Portuguese media.
