Finally Done: Manchester United finally completes the deal to sign £130million striker as the superstar attacker joined on a five-years transfer deal

Incoming Manchester United signing Diego Leon has spoken out at an airport as he jets into the UK to complete his move to Old Trafford.
Leon, described as ‘powerful’ by analyst Ben Mattinson, completed his medical back in January when he signed a five-year deal at the club, but his official unveiling is yet to arrive. Reports suggested that Leon would fly to the UK in the coming days, and he now appears to be on his way to England.
It’s been a busy start to the summer transfer window for the Red Devils, who have already completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. Bryan Mbeumo could be the next to arrive through the door, with reports suggesting that a move is close to completion.

He doesn’t appear to fancy a loan move
Footage captured Leon at an airport, and he spoke about his pending move to Old Trafford, confirming that he doesn’t have the mindset to be sent out on loan…
“Everyone thinks I’ll go out on loan, but I don’t have that mindset. I’m going to kill it in the preseason and within one or two games, I’ll already be playing with them.”
A report from Manchester World claimed back in June that United were set to announce the signing of Leon in July. United’s plan is to assess the youngster in pre-season before making a decision on his short-term future, rather than instantly sending him out on loan to gain experience.
If Leon gets his way, he’ll be sticking around with the United senior squad in the coming weeks and months, but at the age of 18, he’s going to find it difficult to become a regular at Old Trafford in the immediate future.
