FINALLY: Man United reached an agreement with £173,000-a-week striker who’s currently the best in Europe as ‘everything is ready’ ahead of six-years deal
Manchester United are actively trying to bring Randal Kolo Muani to Old Trafford, according to a report.
TuttoJuve has reported that United are keen on signing Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.
The French striker is not part of PSG head coach Luis Enrique’s plans and could really leave the Ligue 1 giants in the middle of the season.
The report has claimed that United have made an approach to try to sign Kolo Muani in the January transfer window. It now remains to be seen if the Premier League giants are able to reach an agreement with PSG over a deal for the £173,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker. Chelsea have been linked with Kolo Muani as well.
Manchester United should think twice before signing Randal Kolo Muani
United head coach Ruben Amorim needs to sign a top striker, either in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2025.
Rasmus Hojlund is only 21 and is still not the finished article. Joshua Zirkzee is also relatively young at 23 and has had a disappointing time at Old Trafford this season.
United are to go back to their glory days and re-establish themselves as one of the regulars in the Premier League top four and challenge for the title, then they need a top striker who can score 15 to 20 goals in a single Premier League campaign.
Kolo Muani is unlikely to be that player. That PSG are willing to get rid of the striker after less than two seasons says a lot. United should not pay big money for him in January.
The France international has scored two goals and given one assist in 14 matches in all competitions for PSG so far this season.
During the 2023-24 campaign, the 26-year-old striker found the back of the net 12 times and gave six assists in 44 competitive games.
