HERE WE GO: Arsenal agree deal for another transfer despite spending a huge amount of money on Viktor Gyokeres’ transfer- The player will be announced today

Arsenal are poised to secure their fifth signing of the ongoing transfer window.

The Gunners have had a good summer with four signings thus far.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard made their friendly debuts against AC Milan in Singapore yesterday.

Noni Madueke won’t be involved during the pre-season tour following his recent exploits with Chelsea at the Club World Cup.

A Bola (page 6) today report that Arsenal are on the cusp of securing their fifth summer signing.

The club have already reached an agreement to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres in a deal worth £63.5 million including add-ons.

The finer details will be sorted today, and an agreement will be made official in the coming hours.

Gyokeres has already agreed on personal terms. He will earn a net salary of £7.2m per year, which equates to £138,000 per week.

The Gunners have finally put an end to the long striker transfer saga.

Gyokeres emerged as the top target for the position earlier this month, but negotiating the add-ons proved a roadblock.

The club have eventually agreed to spread the bonus payments over the length of his contract, which will be for five seasons.

It remains to be seen whether the striker travels to Singapore or London for his medical examination.

Either way, the 27-year-old is determined to participate in the pre-season tour. He has been following a strict individual training program.

Alongside Gyokeres, the club are expected to confirm the arrival of Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera this month.

A picture of the Spaniard’s first interview at Arsenal was leaked last week, but there has been some paperwork complication.

The 21-year-old has recently travelled to Singapore from London, which suggests that an official announcement is nearby.

He could make his debut against either Newcastle United or Tottenham Hotspur this month.
