“I’ve been through many difficult moments in my life but what the doctor told me yesterday about my injury is affecting emotionally…I think I’m too young to face this”: Manchester United’s winger Amad Diallo has revealed what the doctor told him about his injury which is affecting him emotionally

Man United have struggled with injuries throughout the season, with the club currently decimated with a plethora of first-team players being unavailable.

Luke Shaw has been out of action throughout the season, while Mason Mount and Lisandro Martinez are also on the sidelines at the moment.

The injury to Amad Diallo was one of the biggest blows to Ruben Amorim’s team as it took place during a training session and has ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old suffered an ankle injury back in February which left United short of attacking options out wide after loaning out Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.

Diallo scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 36 appearances across all competitions throughout the 2024-25 campaign, with his quality having bailed United out at several points this season.

His attacking skills would have been useful on Sunday (2 March) when United were knocked out of the FA Cup against Fulham.

Amad Diallo is still making progress with his recovery

United fans were left fuming with Mount this week after images were shown of him reuniting with his former Chelsea teammates, but Diallo managed to lift the spirits of fans.

Diallo attended United’s FA Cup fixture against Fulham which pleased people as videos surfaced of him wearing a protective boot and using a crutch to get around, proving he is still a long way from being fit enough to play.
