Manchester United are pushing to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo in the summer transfer window, and Fabrizio Romano, writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, has discussed the prospect of Tottenham Hotspur making a move, confirming that the Cameroon international is prioritising joining Ruben Amorim’s side.
Mbeumo could be on the move in the summer transfer window, with United one of the sides showing an interest. Mbeumo enjoyed a sensational season in the Premier League, scoring a whopping 20 goals in England’s top flight. Naturally, clubs are beginning to show an interest in signing him from Brentford, who could be forced into a sale with his contract running down.

“Mbeumo is waiting for Man United as a priority. Thomas Frank is close to Spurs so we will see what happens if he joins; but Mbeumo at the moment is waiting to see what happens with United.”
Over the weekend, reports have suggested that Tottenham could make a double Brentford raid of Thomas Frank and Mbeumo. Spurs are pushing to appoint Frank after Ange Postecoglou was relieved of his duties, and there’s no doubt he’d be keen to bring Mbeumo with him if he does get the job.
With Romano suggesting that Mbeumo is prioritising a move to United for now, it will be interesting to see whether that changes if Frank joins Tottenham. The duo worked wonders together at Brentford and Spurs will have Champions League football. As a result, United will be desperate to get a deal wrapped up as soon as possible.
