“I have been silent all along but I just think this is the right time to explain what really happened and it has nothing to do with football”: Former Man United’s star Marcus Rashford finally explain what happened between him and Ruben Amorim, says it has nothing to do with football

Marcus Rashford’s loan move to Aston Villa has been the most heavily discussed transfer of the year. The winger may have played his last game for Manchester United.

Falling out of favour at Old Trafford, Rashford was publicly criticised by Ruben Amorim and told he doesn’t fit in the United manager’s plans.

Looking for a way out for several weeks, Rashford’s wish was granted late in the January transfer window.

Marcus Rashford’s Aston Villa medical produces good results
Teaming up with Emery in the Midlands, Rashford now has the perfect chance to redeem himself and get his stalling career back on track.

He will need to put in the work though. Emery is a notoriously demanding coach and one who won’t settle for passengers, and although the forward is believed to have started well, there were concerns from fans online that he could have been carrying too much weight.

Sections of fans on social media criticised Rashford for how he appeared in his Villa signing photos.

Suggesting the forward looked out of shape, fans questioned why the winger’s appearance had changed so much in recent times.

However, and unsurprisingly, may I add, according to the Daily Mail, Rashford’s medical results produced some impressive results.

The results from the 27-year-old’s body fat percentage test saw him rank fourth among the Villa squad and disprove any suggestions that he is out of shape.

It was ridiculous even to suggest he wasn’t in top physical condition. He hasn’t played competitively for a few weeks but has remained hard at work.

Unai Emery hoping to strike gold
Although Rashford’s preference was to play for Barcelona, his only realistic option was to join Aston Villa for the rest of the season.

A personal phone call between Rashford and Unai Emery sealed the deal and left both parties feeling optimistic that a move to Villa Park would be best.

Believing he is the best manager out there to get Rashford back to his best and to help him finally fulfil his potential, Emery has high hopes for the United loanee.

His signing doesn’t come without its risks, though…

Bringing Rashford to the Midlands is an expensive deal — even if it is just for five months. Failure to work out would leave Emery red-faced and probably expected to answer questions from the Villa board.
