“I have decided to snub Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea’s transfer to join Manchester United for two reasons”: Viktor Gyokeres has decided to join Manchester United and reveals two reasons for his decision

Manchester United started the season with Erik ten Hag as the manager but following a string of poor performances, he was relieved of his duties.
Ruben Amorim was appointed as the new head coach and the start under him was abysmal but things were better before the international break.
They lost only one out of the last seven games in all competitions and that defeat came against Fulham in the FA Cup on penalties.
Ten Hag deployed a back four system and the Red Devils have a squad suited for that. But, Amorim has been playing in a back three formation with wing-backs.
Hence, he opted to reinforce the LWB position by hiring Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in January. Now, TBR Football report that Man Utd are also considering purchasing a new RWB and Sporting CP star Geovany Quenda was their primary target.
But, following his move to Chelsea, United have now shifted their focus to Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong. However, the Old Trafford club aren’t alone in this race as Manchester City and Liverpool are also considering making a move for him.
The Reds want Frimpong as a potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is reportedly set to join Real Madrid as a free agent this summer.
Amorim’s side have already initiated talks with the player’s representatives over this deal to beat rivals in this race. German outlet Sport Bild (via Paisley Gates) have recently stated that Leverkusen would accept a fixed £33.7m[€40m] offer to let the Dutchman leave.
Frimpong has flourished in his career as a RWB at BayArena so he would be a perfect option for Amorim’s system. Moreover, he can also play as an out and out right winger.
He won the Bundesliga title and DFB Pokal last term and also lifted the German Super Cup. This season, he has had a productive campaign, making 13 goal contributions in all competitions.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds and will keep you updated.
