Ruben Amorim will be aiming to secure a second victory as Manchester United head coach when the Red Devils host Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
After an underwhelming draw on his debut against Ipswich Town, Amorim oversaw a 3-2 victory over Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday night. A more cohesive display in Europe was spearheaded by Rasmus Hojlund, who scored twice and assisted in a much-needed win.
Man Utd have won their last five meetings with Everton despite long periods of disappointing form and are primed to make that six on the bounce this Sunday. The Toffees haven’t won at Old Trafford since December 2013 when former Everton coach David Moyes was in the United dugout.
Sean Dyche’s side have steadied themselves after a dismal start to the campaign but are still finding goals and victories difficult to earn. They have drawn blanks in their last three matches and have only managed two victories from 12 games in the Premier League.
